Sarah Steers
Sarah recognizes that municipalities encounter a broad range of legal questions and concerns, and enjoys working with municipal clients to identify comprehensive and thoughtful solutions. She has assisted cities, township, boroughs, and school districts with developing new and updating existing policies and ordinances; managing code enforcement matters (including representation at magisterial district courts and Courts of Common Pleas); representing clients at a variety of municipal appeals boards; drafting Conditional Use and Land Development decisions, as well as associated Agreements; and Right-to-Know Law Response Letters and Office of Open Records (“OOR”) Appeals. Pertinent here, Sarah has represented multiple private sector and municipal clients before Zoning Hearing Boards, and is familiar with the many types of issues – both large and small – that fall under the umbrella of zoning.
Prior to joining Clarke Gallagher Barbiero Amuso & Glassman Law, Sarah worked in the Public Sector practice group at a Bucks County law firm. She previously served as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Pittsburgh Department of Law and as an Associate with a Pittsburgh-area law firm, specializing in School and Municipal Law.
Sarah is a recent transplant to the area and lives in Montgomery County with her charming husband and rambunctious son – the two loves of her life. She also has a Pomeranian (complete with a superiority complex) and one antique cat (who does not appreciate the Pomeranian’s antics). She loves gardening and trying new foods and restaurants. In her spare time, she reviews books for the American Library Association. Sarah has been learning about her new community through active participation with the Bucks County Bar Association, including the DEI Committee and writing a humor column for its quarterly magazine, the WRITS. Sarah was taught to give back to her community from a young age and is excited to learn more about her new community and othermeaningful volunteer opportunities.
